GCSE (AQA) Music listening resources AOS 1 - The orchestral music of Haydn, Mozart and Beethoven

by Tim and Liz @HuntSchoolMusic

Most people think they know what 'classical' music is. There's a lot of misconceptions and assumptions surrounding the term. A nice place to start with this is to ask some really straightforward questions and find out your students' starting points. In this resource we keep it really simple, and focus on the key characteristics of the symphony and the concerto of the classical period, with examples from the big 3 - Haydn, Mozart and Beethoven.
